FLOCK

A different direction

During my postgraduate studies at BAS (Belgium Advertising School), we undertook a project to launch our own pop-up event, which required a comprehensive branding approach.

 

We named our pop-up "Flock," inspired by the concept of a flock of birds, symbolizing our diverse team of 24 individuals, each with unique skills and expertise.

The name "Flock" reflects the idea of unity and collaboration, akin to how a flock of birds operates. Just as birds in a flock move together in harmony while adapting to changes and following different leaders as needed, our team worked cohesively, supporting one another and adjusting our strategies to achieve our common objectives.

Our approach for "Flock" drew on these principles, emphasizing collective creativity and dynamic adaptation. We sought to embody the values of flexibility, synergy, and innovation, mirroring Flock Agency's commitment to creating impactful, collaborative solutions. This approach not only unified our team but also set the stage for a successful and memorable pop-up experience.

For our pop-up, named "Flock," we aimed to create a branding that embodies a young, dynamic, and outgoing spirit, much like the ethos of Flock Agency. Our approach was inspired by the agency’s modern and vibrant style, which is characterized by fluid animations and upbeat energy.

The branding reflects the movement of a flock of birds, capturing their graceful, coordinated flight patterns. This concept is mirrored in our animation style, which features fluid transitions and lively motion to evoke the dynamic, ever-changing nature of a flock in flight.

Our tagline, "A Different Direction," reflects who we are as a young, diverse team committed to shaping the future. As a communication agency, we aim to create work that not only stands out but also makes a positive impact on the world and the people in it.

Our logo design incorporates a '+' symbol, adding depth to our brand's message of making a positive impact. The inclusion of this symbol emphasizes our commitment to fostering growth and driving positive change, aligning with our goal of creating meaningful and engaging experiences.

Overall, the branding for "Flock" combines vibrant visuals, fluid animations, and a forward-thinking message to reflect the essence of both our team and Flock Agency’s innovative approach.

Bricolage Grotesque was chosen for our pop-up agency due to its unique blend of historical influences and modern design. This eclectic typeface reflects both creativity and professionalism, aligning with our mission to push boundaries in the communication industry. Its bold, experimental nature, combined with classic typographic roots, makes it ideal for creating impactful, forward-thinking campaigns. Bricolage Grotesque’s versatility and distinct character allow us to express innovation while maintaining a grounded, professional aesthetic—perfect for an agency dedicated to positive influence

The color palette for our pop-up agency has been carefully selected to represent diversity, youth, movement, and modernity. Each shade plays a role in shaping our vibrant and bold identity.

 

From the minty freshness of "In The Clouds" to the striking red of "NEW KIDS ON THE FLOCK," the palette reflects our energetic and forward-thinking approach. Shades like "Darkness" and "Muddy" ground the palette with sophistication, while bright pops like "Now THIS is green" and "I'm blushing" inject a sense of playfulness and innovation.

 

Together, these colors visually embody our mission to make a dynamic and positive impact.
